A huge thank you to Teresa for adding a womans touch to the gym and organizing the notebooks in the filing cabinet.

I know that a lot of you have heard about the competitor class that we have started and some of you may be wondering what this is all about.  The competitor class is for those of you who are serious about doing CrossFit competitions throughout the year.  As of right now the class is full and this is not just because we only want certain people in the class but because we need to be able to give more individual attention to each athlete.  We are already in the second week of the program but we will be reopening enrollment after we have finished the 12 week program.  If you are really interested in the competition side of CrossFit you will be able to join then but please keep in mind that this class is for those who are wanting to do multiple competitions year round.  If you have any questions please let me know.

“Murph”

For time:

1 mile Run

100 Pull-ups

200 Push-ups

300 Squats

1 mile Run

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it “Body Armor”. From here on it will be referred to as “Murph” in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you’ve got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.
